What our students say
"I passed my practical 1st time round thanks to Ram from Active Drive. I had no prior experience before December and after only 3 months I was up to test standard."

Frequently asked questions
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on your experience and how often you drive — your instructor will build a plan around your progress rather than a fixed number of hours.
What do I need for my first lesson?
Bring your provisional driving licence, and glasses or contact lenses if you need them to drive.
I've had lessons before with someone else — can you help?
Yes — we specialise in refresher lessons for lapsed and nervous drivers. See our refresher lessons page or give us a call to talk it through.
Can I do an intensive course before my test date?
Yes — see our intensive courses page for how it works and whether it suits you.
What actually happens on my driving test?
An eyesight check, two vehicle safety questions, your driving, and one reversing or parking manoeuvre. See our driving test guide for every official "show me, tell me" question and answer, plus how hazard perception is scored.
Ready when you are.
